ABOUT US

We are a local charity supporting families in Worcestershire who have a child with a disability or additional need

Who We Are?

We Support

Worcestershire Parent and Carers' Community (WPCC) Was set up to provide support for families who have a child or young person with a disability and/or additional needs.

We champion the principles of equality and inclusion.

We Connect

Our mission is rooted in the empowerment of communities.

Our Main Aim is to bring Families out of isolation, ensuring that families with children with additional needs are able to enjoy quality time together within their community, with other families.

We Provide

We provide family based events and activity days, ensuring that families who have a child with additional needs are able to enjoy quality time together, have new and exciting experiences, and create lasting memories.

Some parent carers find that this helps them to build confidence in taking their child out into the Community

What We Do?

Family Activities

These activities are for the whole Family. They provide an opportunity to socialise with other families, and simply enjoy a day out. Our events aim to encourage  families to go out and take part in activities they may not otherwise do.

Parent/Carer Support

It can feel overwhelming to be a parent of a child with additional needs. The more supported, confident and informed you feel as their carer, the less overwhelming this may be. WPCC aim to provide the means to enable Parent/Carers to help you manage the balance between being a parent and a carer

How To Get Involved

Welcome to WPCC

There are many ways to get involved. You might simply like to attend some of our events, or come along to some of our training.

Some parent/carers like to get more involved with fundraising or helping to shape the services our children receive.

No matter what level of involvement you choose, supporting WPCC is an excellent way to improve outcomes for children, young people and parent/Carers.

Membership is free and open to anyone living, working or accessing services in Worcestershire, who has a child or young person with a disability and/or additional need.
